Price is the only reason to go here. Don't get me wrong...the people are extremely friendly, mean well and will help you in any way they can, but the course is a pasture on the side of a mountain. There isn't a single level area. I'm not talking about the gentle slope that golf courses put in just for a challenge...I'm taking you ball won't settle. The greens don't hold. Their patchy and your ball won't stick when it lands. You have to putt over clumps on the green...which isn't so bad in itself but because their isn't a level surface anywhere your balls rolls off everytime. I had 6 under 10 footers that when I missed I watched it rolled by...and rolled, and rolled...and I turned my back to walk to the cart to get my wedge for the upcoming chip back on, turned back to see the ball roll about 10 more feet to an average of 15 yards off the green. From a 10 foot distance that's just insane. It's not creating a challenge, it's not having enough money to level the greens out.You can tell that someone just had some land on the side of a mountain, didn't know what to do with it so created a golf course but yet didn't have the money to landscape it enough to be able to play halfway decent. My score was 105, which I'm happy about considering all the 10 foot putts that rolled off the green. The fairways were mowed over and pushed down...but the grass is just like in your backyard. No green. The rough area was kept pretty low as well.Like I said above. The people do mean well, and they do try...you can just tell that there's no money here to really make it a great course. That's why the price is right...$15 during the week and $23 on weekend. That's the only reason to go here. I don't live in the area so I won't be back, but because I didn't pay a high price I really wasn't too disapointed.
Nice course, Money wise you can't beat it. Better than most courses in this range around Salisbury. Greens need a little work ( grass was dead but they are working on it) other courses here look as if they don't care about anything but getting your money and they don't keep up their course as good as Foxwood does.
Great little course for the money. I'm a member and play this course at least once a week. I've been to most courses around the area and no course compares for the money. Like many have seen this isn't the course of a decade ago. Come see the change!
Played this course years ago and then decided to try it again,Wish I had done this a year ago. This course compared to a couple others around Salisbury ( ) is a much better course. Great Fairways , Good greens, great rates.. (the day we went they were in the process of sanding and aerating but only charged weekday rates , what else can you say they were fair and honest) went to an aforementioned course earlier in the week they were doing the same, had the back 9 closed and still charged the full price and their fairways aren't anywhere near as nice as Foxwoods. This course is a heck of a bargain at the price and it looks they are getting better . I will be playing there from now on . An enjoyable fun course. Oh and a good deal on yearly memberships. My suggestion is try Foxwood .
Good ValueI have plyed this course a few times recently and it is in good shape. The greens are in really nice shape, and the fairways are ok. It is a gerat course just to play spur of the moment at a good value. I enjoy it, the course isn't very long so it isn't a hard course to play, there are no sand traps to get in.
Great value for the moneyI live here in Salisbury and am a member here also. The clubhouse is not the greatest. Foxwood is not the country club, but for the cost of golf and the cost of membership it is a good value. In fact considering the cost of play versus the conditon of the course it is a fair value. No it is not the Country Club, but it is as good of course as you can find in the price range that they charge.
Above par courseFairly challenging course because you can't just hit and run...it makes you hit a real shot and play the course. Alot of hills and bumps. Greens aren't as good as they could be but overall, they are decent.
