The 18-hole "Beaufort" course at the Beaufort Club facility in Beaufort, North Carolina features 7,210 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. Designed by JMP Golf Design Group, the Beaufort golf course opened in 2007.
Played the course again last week. Course is in great shape and love the layout. By far the best couse in the area and worth the money and drive. Friendly staff and amazing to see how few players out there.
While the greens and fairways are well-maintained the surrounding area of the course has a lot to be desired. Bunkers have very little sand or none (i.e. mud), the community is still being built so you have dump trucks and the like moving around, mounds of dirt and concrete surround the course. No bathrooms in the so-called pro shop (the back of a house) but there are port-o-johns in the parking lot. The holes are the same over and over, full of traps and lots of water. Worth a play but not at the full price of $55.
A must play in this area. Far better then Star Hill or Silver Creek in the Emerald Isle area.
