One of my favorite in Myrtle. Great course, great layout and great staff. Loved starter Bob, he was so helpful

Nice addition to the "Big Cats" stable, but not up to Tigers Eye standards in my opinion. I realize there's a premium for a new course, but with a temp clubhouse, difficult access and still maturing course, I think the value is missing. As to the course itself - despite being told it would be much more difficult than Tigers Eye, I found the landing areas more generous and the course in general a bit more straight forward. One major exception is number 11 ... just not a good hole as far as I am concerned and much more "tricked up" than anything else I have seen from Tim Cate. A minor quibble with him in general on both this and Tigers Eye (can't recall if true for Thistle and avoided bunkers at Panthers Run), the green side bunkers are not exactly green side - all seemed to be 10-15 or more yards from green.

I played this course as part of my rotation in the 2008 World Am. tournament. While the course is nice and certainly has potential, there are some shortcomings. The clubhouse is twinky, with little room to move around. My house has a larger bathroom. The course sits so far back in the Ocean Ridge development, you need a gps to find it. The greens seemed a little immature, and could use another season or two to fully develop. The fairways were nice and the rough was fairly cut. Bunkers were well maintained too. The course is fairly unremarkable aesthetically with the exception of the signature 18th hole. I'd recommend it if you can get a package deal which includes it with the other 3 "big cat" courses.

The course has potential with a nice layout, but as yet is not to the standard of other top myrtle courses. It is a little overpriced at this point. The course seemed underwatered compared to other premium cources, with some greens only in fair shape. From the tips, it is a challenge for the lower handicap golfer. Our group's concern was with the level of service. Having paid a premium price for a course not yet on par, with no groups behind, we were put on the clock to speed up play. Feeling like a welcome guest was not obvious and was a disapointment compared to other courses that seemed to go out of their way to make it a positive experience.

Condition of course was very good and greens were fast. Too many holes looked the same. Course doesn't match the beauty of Tiger's Eye. Nice practice facility. A little over priced.
