Harbour Pointe Golf Club, New Bern, NC

I play this course many times a year. In the years since Billy Casper has taken over management this course just keeps getting better and better. The conditions this past summer rivaled, or exceeded any other other course in the area. Greens were great as were the fairways and tees. Challenging layout, never boring, pretty place to play. Fun for all levels. Pro shop and snack bar are fine. Not luxurious, but fine. If they get the cart paths evened out. It would be outstanding.

Pro shop seemed to be closed in the afternoons, only one person there, not that friendly!
Ballwashers infrequent and often no water. Tee blocks very confusing, the back gold had been moved to a forward seniors level, you never really knew which tees you were playing unless you could find the official markers. Very few distance markers on the fairways (some sprinkler heads, but not all)
They were spraying something on the fairways when we played - no warnings, no signs about what they were pumping out!

We played under winter conditions, so maybe not a fair test. However, there were a lot of small issues that make it not worth going back.
