The 9-hole "Camellia" course at the Magnolia Greens Golf Club facility in Leland, North Carolina features 3,649 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 36. Designed by Tom Jackson, the Camellia golf course opened in 1998.
The course is located in a large residential subdivision. The parking lot was almost full when I arrived in the afternoon due to allot of retirees playing. I played the Magnolia and the Camellia courses and it took a long time to play. The course was in excellent shape and there are 6 pin locations. The greens ran smooth and true. Most of the holes were isolated from each other. My only complaint is about the design of the course. There were allot of sand traps and pine trees, but not much water or any other natural beauty. I found the design to be boring and unimaginative.
