We used to play this course all the time in the 19990's but stopped because because rounds were taking 5-1/2 hours. Played it yesterday for the first time since 2001. Had heard they had lost their greens, so I called and asked them how the greens were. He assured me that they were at about 90-95% good. He lied, they are terrible, closer to 20-25%. Had a 10:45 tee time, ended up finally going off at 11:30. The bald dude in the clubhouse is rude and arrogant, spoke to us like we were 5 year olds when we stepped on the tee box at 10:45, which was our tee time. Round took forever, staff is rude and condescending(except the starter, he was a good guy, and we could tell he felt bad we were going off so late), greens were almost gone and in terrible shape. Even hitting off the tee boxes was awful, with many of them being sod that is dying. $33.00 for this course is WAY OUT OF LINE. There are too many other courses in the area that treat you with respect and are in better shape to spend $33.00 on this goat tract. (EG: Old Homeplace, Winding Creek, Tanglewood, Pudding Ridge, Wilshire, Stonewall, and many others)
All 4 of us decided we would never play here again.

tough small course. price is too high. can play tanglewwood cheaper! course could be maintained better. no driving range. small practice green. always jam packed always. semi-private . too many tournaments. friendly staff though, and is fairly fun to play.

Fantastic course with tons of nature, scenery, and strategy for a little price. I am a Junior and me and m dad got a membership last year for next to nothing. we once saw a deer driving into #6 tee box. Id have to say that even though i have not played too many golf courses in my day, this is by far one of the best courses ive played, Next to Meadowlands, Oak Hollow, and Greensboro National. Not to mention the staff is as friendly as enyone youll ever know.

Has become my favorite course. I have played nine here a few times when I didn't have alot of time and really enjoyed it. When I have had time I played 18 and enjoyed it even more.

Best course I have visited! A great place to go, especially if you are still new to golf. The staff are great and the amenities are good. Plan on going again soon!

This course is quickly becoming one of my favs. I love to hit it during the week, it is never crowded after lunch. Tee boxes are well maintained and most of the greens are very consistent. Look out for the deer stand in the field to the right of #3 tee box. Hope whoever hunts from it on saturday mornings is very carfull beings at it is surronded by several holes on Maple Leaf and Olde Homestead is not very far away either.

Beautiful scenery in the fall season while playing, course is well maintained throughout the long dry summer. Needs more clubhouse amenities for the price.

Great little hidden course. I've never met anyone there who was unfriendly or discourteous. If you need a fancy restuarant, don't go here, but if you are looking for a game of golf on a well maintained course and scenic beauty, you won't go wrong here. I love to play this little course!

the staff is very un-friendly, its like they would rather not have you come and spend your money there. they have a small snack bar, but when you turn at nine, your in the middle of the course and all they have is snack machines and a bathroom. usually kept in pretty good shape.
