this place has really been catching some buzz. it plays like a par three course which is always fun. a great course for beginners who are looking to get into the game and still have some fun. it gets sloppy when it rains and the greens are immaculate

This course is the bomb. I love every part of it. Robert Hayes is the manager there and is very customer frendly. He knows his stuff. I wish he would come and run my golf course is S.C. The course is well kept, and the green's are down right prefect. I give this course a A+

As a novice I found this course to be challanging but very fun. Well kept, peaceful and the staff pleasant. Replay percentage is very high!

I like it

it is a course that isnt like any other. It forces u to hit the ball straight and use good strategy to be able to beat the course. The first hole is a par 5 that isnt terribly long but it has a lot of slopes and has a pond near the green. Then the mood of the course changes as u go to a small dog leg, then to a straight narrow par 4, then to a par 3, on to another par 3, then to a very difficult par 4 with many water hazards and narrow and small fairways, then to a short par 3 with a pond to the left, then u hit the last hole which is a very long par 4. The best part of this course is the greens which are very nice and well kept. the only down side to them is that they are small. but all in all it is a good course for the price u pay.

This out-of-the-way course is an interesting one. Stepping onto the first hole, you almost feel like you're on a challenging course. That thought will quickly be erased. The course is mid-range in length with a couple challenging holes toward the end. The maintenance could be alot better and due to its location and layout, when it rains for a few days the course is slop. One thing you won't find on this course, if you keep it in play anyway, is sand. As for the value, you get what you pay for and, unfortunately, it's not much. The word is getting out and the people are coming. Good if you wanna make money, but bad if you wanna play a quiet round on a nice day. If that's your intention, I highly suggest looking elsewhere.

course is for beginners

This is an excellent course for beginners or the amateur who needs to sharpen their skills. There are a few difficult holes, however, the course overall difficulty is somewhat low. If it rains hard for a few days, then half the course is flooded. The staff are all friendly and there seems to be a crowd every nice day. I have played this course several times. I like it if I am just trying to get out of the house. But for a greater challenge, find another local course.

No sand

The course is fast played i have to tee off with irons and the par 3 holes i tee off with a sand wedge of a pitching either. but the hazzards are for in between if you know your clubs the ball be on the green in less than two attempts. I play almost every week at the course for the iron practice and the vaule.

Enchanting Course!!

I didn't know this 9-hole course existed at the old Swingin' Things location until two weeks ago, but I'm glad I do now. The staff are awesome, friendliest folks I've seen in a pro shop. Two little Tekelbury Dachshunds (sausage dogs) have the run of the place. On to the course: course is excellently maintained and presents a variety of challenges. While holes 1, 2 and 3 are relatively easy (save for a small pond on #1), the course quickly ratchets to the next level. By hole 7 (the best and most dificult), you're faced with some serious dilemmas involving wetlands, water, sand, you name it. This course features beautiful and thoughtful landscaping touches throughout...a life-sized statue of an Irishman in golfing garb greets you at Hole 1. In all, it's simply a damned interesting course to play. Best feature: it will appeal to any skill level due to its variety of easy/hard. Unfortunately, the word is getting out about this place and the crowds are following. Still, it's the best value in Jacksonville. I'm buying a membership next week. My only fear is that they will soon raise the prices and ruin the value of this charming little course.

p.s. Upset that darkness has driven you from the course? No problem. Fletcher's Landing has a lighted driving range. One of the pricing options includes a 200-ball bucket! You'll go home exhausted, crack a beer...and wait for the next day to go back. A golfer's heaven.
