Best practice course you'll find. The greens are always in top notch shape, but all the greens are the same---rounded top like a flipped over bowl. There is no reading the greens because they're all the same, but the greens are in the best condition you'll find even compared to private courses. For the price and for a practice round you won't be dissapointed.

Started learning to play (last year) on this course. The fact that it has no sand traps, and no lakes/ponds, helps a beginner like me - although the trees and leaves take their share of balls because of my offline shots. As a new Senior club member, I pay $350 annual dues, with during-the-week cart fees at $7/nine and $14/eighteen ($5 and $10 on Tue). So, overall: decent course ÷ low cost = great golf value!

All in all a great little practice course! I had actually tried to avoid this place for a couple of years as there isn't any sand or water really but in 2010 this course was actually in better condition than most and for $20 during the week you can't beat it!

Great practice course. No sand traps, some water! Watch out for flying golf balls b/c its side by side action with no out of bounds. One of the first golf courses i learned to play at.

A good value for the price.

This is a great place to learn how to play since there is no water to rob your precious balls. There are some neat dogleg holes that really make you think as well as some tight fairways that make you leave the driver in the bag and reach for the Three.

Not enough courses present challenges where you need to grab the Three instead.

Staff, maintenance, and amenities are all what they should be. I bet this course really has a morning crowd so start a little later and be friendly about playing through and you will have a fun time.

It is a good bargin for your cash and will be a decent little test.

Hampton Heights is a fun and entertaining course and there are some really challenging holes, (for me anyway), but what a ZOO sometimes !! Tee Times are almost needed instead of the free-for-all that exists on the weekends and sunny afternoons. Wear your hard hat, almost by design, it seems balls are frequently raining down. The course isn't flat but there are always lots of players walking the course which really adds to the waits between each hole if you have a cart. You won’t need a sandwedge at Hampton Heights, there are no sandtraps. There is a driving range, which is nice (before and after a round) and a 36 hole minature carpet golf (which your family may enjoy).

I dropped off my putter for repair with the fellow at D&S golf shop (HHGC Proshop) who drilled & reglued the putterhead for me. I used my spare during my round and picked it up afterwards, even though he said it would be ready to use within 10 minutes. The repair was $5 well spent and it has served me well since.

Get there Early

This was a nice old course that presented some interesting challenges. Hit it straight or your in the trees or usually on another hole. The greens are small and slow, but they roll true and hold a good shot. The fairways and tees certainly need some TLC. For the price, this is a good place to practice your game but get there early because they really pack 'em in as the morning goes on.

Played whole lot better!

This place stinks! If you want a quiet round of golf, forget it here. It is wide open with constant disruptions from players crossing other fairways, not the problem really, it is the fact they were rushed by the attendant pushing all he could onto the course. During the week, I would score it slightly higher. Got all day and the patience of Job? go on and play it.

This course is a very good value for the money.
You can go to their website and book your tee time online and even get a better discount. Course is made up with natural grass. Very good for practice.
