The layout was redesigned by John LaFoy a few years ago into areal beauty. From the gold championship tees it plays to just under 6300 yards, par 72, slope of 128 with a stroke rating of 70.1. While not long, the course challenges every shot you can produce. Operated by the City of Goldsboro, it is well maintained and moved clubhouse operation into the new Goldsboro Event Center building just a par 4 distant from its former location. Best and largest practice range within a fifty mile radius of Goldsboro. Rates are very reasonable. GMGC plays as a big club for a small price.

Well kept. The greens are spacious and lush. Great municipal in not so good neighborhood. The price is unbeatable for a course is such great shape. I saw the price on the website and was expecting a goat track, but was pleasantly surprised.
