The 18-hole "Stryker" course at the Fort Bragg Stryker Golf Course facility in Fort Bragg, North Carolina features 6,625 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. Designed by Donald Ross, the Stryker golf course opened in 1946. U.S. Army Morale, Welfare and Recreation manages this facility, with Jeff Johnson, PGA as the Director of Golf.

This course had the most-challenging greens since playing #2. The Pinehurst caddies would tell us to hit to the front of the green as the slopes will kill your shot. It was such a joy to play the Stryker with all the fiendish Donald Ross turtleback greens. All the green complexes were well-maintained and the greens were hard & fast.

The fairways in winter seriously lack grass, but the hole layouts were interesting and let you hit a few draws and fades.

The pro shop staff was super friendly and the shop was well-stocked with merchandise.

Overall, I'll say I want to come back in the summer and take more shots at & on their greens. I love real Donald Ross Greens!
