Pretty disappointing course all in all. It’s the tale of two golf courses where 9 holes were in pretty good shape and 9 holes weren't in any kind of shape at all. I understand they're planning on redoing the fairways next year (I'll assume they're going to redo the newer holes as they were horrible). The older portion was ok, though even if all 18 holes were in the same condition of the older course the value would be only ok for the money. However, the newer fairways were completely DEAD with barely a blade of grass anywhere. Even bumping the ball made no difference as there wasn't even a decent weed to put it on so half the time you're hitting off of dirt in the middle of the fairway. I will say that the greens on the newer side were decent shape and rolled ok....but I was so frustrated with the fairways I barely paid any attention to my putting. I could see no excuse for the fairways being that kind of condition because the out of bounds area actually looked WAY better than the fairway...was tempted to hit OB just to get a piece of grass to hit an iron. Sorry but I would not recommend this course until the fairways get redone unless they reduce the price significantly. $39 (includes cart) was excessive.

The information shown for this course is outdated. The original nine holes was build by the military in the '40s and a second nine holes were added in the '80s. The original nine holes were completely renovated in 2004. Renovation of the sevcond nine holes is planned for 2009. Currently the course plays 6542 from the championship tees with a slope of 130 & a rating of 71.3.
The greens on the back nine are rather large, whereas the newly renovated greens on the front nine are somewhat smaller. There are 11 ponds and wetlands that come into play on 10 holes. The fairways are mostly flat with some undulations and mounds that can affect play. This is an excellent and fun course to play at a very reasonable cost.
