This is the second time I played this course. The first time was after it rained and the course was horrible. The water drained nowhere but to the center of the fairways. So I thought to myself lets give it one more try. The second time was a little better but there's something going on with the fairways. The grass was like the lawn grass people use in their yards. OH, and the bar area, closed. So no food at the turn. The only thing positive was the nice girl at the pro shop. I think this is the last time I'll golf here.

I've played here off and on for years. In the summer it can get in rough shape, and this winter it's absolutely terrible. No overseeding, spotty dormant fairways, the greens are in pretty bad shape and it's an absolute swamp for a week after it rains. Oh, and the traps are either filled with water or they're concrete. The staff really needs to get some kind of handle on this place.

Have been there twice since the new company took over. Can't wait to see if they can grow grass in the rough. Greens have always been great compared to any other public course. My first advice to newCo is stop making the driving range a sand trap (who is the clown that for the last 3 years pours half an acre of sand up there), fill the ball washers and expand the bar by taking over that unused space!! Do those you'll have many fans. Best of luck...yeah the traps...you know in the end use local rule, lift and rake...It will cost a fortune to remake. Bulldoze the Niagara falls practice green first.

I have been a member at this club since March and have seen vast improvements in all areas of the golf course. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It is a challenging course with 4 tee boxes for all levels of play.

I really like Falls Village. There are very few public golf courses within the vicinity of North Raleigh that aren't littered with homes or scrunched into too tight of a property. Falls Village is on a failed development, so it's just the golf course, which works out great. It's on sprawling acreage, so very few of the holes touch another. There's nothing fancy about it, and it has the feeling of a public course that should be a $30 weekday/$40 weekend rate. So as much as $60 for green fees on the weekend is a bit pricy for what you get.

Played last week and the course was in great shape and the greens rolling well.

While we played during the winter and after several weeks of rain, the course was understandably wet. Regardless of the wetness the course was still tended to very well. I would recommend this course to all who like playing on very interesting terrain.

This used to be a course that I would enjoy playing now and again. The layout had its annoying moments, but when I got tired of the courses I usually play, I'd happily go to Falls. No more. The course is obviously a victim of the recession. I've never seen a course change from pretty good condition to something that ought to make the greens staff hang their heads in shame. Bare spots all over the fairways -- after a Spring with plenty of rain -- greens that were shaggier than my dog; bunkers half-empty of sand but full of junk; rubbish bins that obviously hadn't been emptied recently. Shameful. But they were still packing them in and the pace of play was awful. I won't be returning to the Falls until I hear from several different sources that they've turned their act around. A pity really.

This is a very challenging golf course. The course is in great shape, and the staff is friendly and kind.It is a tight course so if not in the fairway it could lead to trouble.the greens are in great shape and true,so if you get a chance to play I think you will enjoy your round.

This is an alright course for the price. I paid $59 for my round as a single. I didn't have a T time and they were able to get me on to their credit. The course is very hilly and is tree (vs. home) lined. The bar is nice; but small. They don't have much in the way of food. The pro shop is average. On the plus side, kudos to the grounds staff they keep the course in great condition. The sandtraps were hard as rock or filled with water; but it had just rained so they get a pass on that. I'd play the course again; but it won't be on the top of my list to do so.
