Played this course today. I had driven by it before...and was lukewarm about playing here. Once I paid my $20....I was in for a treat. The greens were F A S T....Wow...I probably three putted more than 2 putted. I just could not get used to the speed. f you haven;t played would do well to play with someone who has. THere were 3 or 4 holes I would have played differently if I had known what awaited me. Par 5's were pretty straight away (one on each side) There were a few holes that were pretty tight. None were overly long... Bring your short will need it here. I am looking forward to playing this one again!!

Pretty tough course. Not very long, but the greens are tough. Better bring the ball in high to land soft. But, a great value overall.

I played this course for the first time on 2.11.08 and I'm already anxious to make the drive back into the South Mountains to play again soon ! Great Atmosphere ! P.M.G.C. also offered a great "$25 Play-All-Day" deal which is an excellent value !! A very clever layout with holes 9 & 18 sharing a sandtrap, and a creek system that will challenge your game. ~ ~ If you're coming from the Hickory area check your map for the shortcut off of I40/Longview exit; it's only 20 miles from this exit to P.M.G.C. which is about the distance west on I40 to Morganton, to the Hiway 18/I40 exit)

Excellent Pratice Course

I have made to two hour drive to Pine Mtn. several times this year and hope to do so many more times. This place is an excellent golfing value for what you pay. It offers golfing on a pretty well maintained course at a price that is affordable.
