The 18-hole "Landing Course" at the River Landing facility in Wallace, North Carolina features 7,112 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. Designed by Clyde B. Johnston, ASGCA, the Landing Course opened in 1999.
Played the Landing Course for the first time on 6/4/2014. This entire facility is one of the best in NC and probably the best in the eastern part of the state. The club house is exceptional. A beautiful building that has everything. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and the practice facilities first rate. The Landing course was in excellent condition and the tee boxes, fairways and bunkers were all very well kept. The sand in the bunkers was consistent and each one played the same. The greens were all exceptional. They were in excellent shape, rolled true and looked beautiful. There are some tricky pin placements but nothing unfair. The Landing course is a must play course in NC. A good fair test and balls hit well and kept in play will be rewarded with a good score. The only drawback was the River course was closed and so the Landing was crowded. A large women's group in front of us kept the pace of play very slow. I'd love to play the Landing again when both courses are open.
