Just play the course yesterday. First and foremost great course. Only played nine holes though. One under after one, that is a bad omen for me. Arrived at the fifth hole two over no big deal. Fifth hole runs basically parallel to a pretty major road. Well guess what, I push my drive directly into that road. Hit a moving car. Not sure what to do at this point so I continue onward. After 9 holes (last 5 sucked due to incident) met up with the folks car that was damaged. Exchanged insurance info. Grove Park Inn didn't help out one bit. Wanted no parts of it, but gladly took my $50 bucks. They. Really need to do something about this because it could've turned out worst. They said the city of Asheville will not allow them to put up a net but that seems odd to me. If a ball goes thru a windshield and someone dies then what is next???? Anty up Grove Park, I know your pockets are Deep!!!!!! Such a great course with a possible deadly disaster awaiting to happen. And really it does have a to a car, houses are across the street. Ball could have struck a baby being walked in a carriage. My ball flight is normally right to left but my last thought was don't hit into the road. Even waited for the cars to stop coming towards me. Once hit, it seemed as the ball was in the air forever!!!! What does the typical sliced of the golf ball do on this hole??? Pray. Grove Park and the city of Asheville, come together and please do something asap!!!

Tight and plays much shorter than yardage listed on scorecard (only can trust cart GPS and in-ground plate distances). Well maintained with true tilted fast greens - would appeal to short straight players with good short game (no driving range).

Good resort golf. Beautiful location and tremendous amenities. Impecable maintenance and perfect greens. Beware, cart path year round - almost better to walk the course right down the middle then to deal with walking back up or down to cart. Holes are all fairly straight, not many turns. Holes are also right on top of each other and can get confusing when you are trying to find the next tee box. A must play at least one time, take advantage of off season rates. The Asheville Country Club is much better golfing.

This course is always in great shape, even in early spring. At $50., what a deal. Bring your "A" game for the back nine.

Beautiful golf course. Cross-cut fairways, slick greens, and beautiful views. It can't get much better than this. It is a bit pricey though.

You'll be glad you played it!

A shotmakers course. You don't have to be long, but you definitely have to be accurate! Hit your approach close to the pin; you don't want to have a long putt anywhere on these greens! Most of the greens roll away from the mountains even though they don't look it. One of the best.
