Dog Track course...under 'contstruction' year round apparently. Rude grounds crew. Restaurant is closed some weekdays and is never open past 3??? No golfing after 630 pm??? No driving range after 5 oc????

The course itself is in terrible shape. You'll be sharing your round with LOUD dump trucks (complete with beeping reverse), steam shovels, and bulldozers. The employees drive their personal vehicles all over the course , and spend half their time cruising around on carts doing nothing but getting in the way of the golfers. The crew pit is directly in the center of the course - so plenty of noise, dust, and distraction no matter where you are. I've never seen such a terrible layout for a golf course. Whoever built this dogtrack apparently thinks having EVERY HOLE ADJACENT is somehow good -- it isn't good, it sucks and show a real lack of imagination. It's a boring, lame course where every hole is exactly the same. On top of that its poorly kept - dirt mud collars on every green, every green is drowning in sand, there is no rough just poorly mowed fairways and you can't even tell where the rough starts. Half the course is under construction as mentioned so there are these huge areas of nasty piled up mud everywhere. Forget about getting creative with trouble shots - there simply is no golf course off the mediocre and poorly mowed fairways. You'd be better off playing at Carolina Pines - and they've been closed for years!!!

By the way, these assholes don't even provide water jugs OR a beverage cart anywhere on the course. Bring your own drink or you'll die of dehydration out there-not that these pricks would care or even notice!!

Many upgrades to this course over the last few years. There is now a full service bar and grill with ABC license. Course improvements include new Championship Bermuda greens, better fairways, some new bunkers and tees. The swimming pool is still well used in the summer. So it is not by any means "golf only".
