The 18-hole "Wilderness" course at the Wilderness Club facility in Eureka, Montana features 7,207 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. Designed by Nick Faldo, the Wilderness golf course opened in 2009.
A Nick Faldo designed course. I played this course twice in August. This is an awsome course. Every hole offers its own challenges but it is not out to get you. A good shot gets rewarded and a bad shot demands creativity to recover from. The fairways are fairly wide and well laid out. The par fives are all good holes and the threes can all be had with a good tee shot. Most of the green are elevated and ortected by sand bunkers, some bunkers are quite a bit below the green requiring loft to get out of. I played in the afternoon on weekdays and enjoyed the pace as no one was pushing me, nor was I waiting on any one. The staff was friendly, I was suprised to see people there to load clubs on the carts. The electric carts are really nice with headlights and blinkers. Comfort stations on both nines in spots where you pass them more then once. The stations were stocked with refigerated water. This is a great course and I had a lot of fun. It was a little on the expensive side for being out in the country.
