18 hole regulation length course
72 par | 7,152 yards
The 18-hole "EagleRock Golf Course" at the EagleRock Golf Course facility in Billings, Montana features 7,152 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72.Designed by Matt Martinson, the EagleRock Golf Course opened in 2002.
2nd round one year later and still enjoy the course. To some it may appear easy but it has plenty of water to make you think about it at times. Big Sluggers will do well but drives of 180 -200 yards could easily loose a stroke or two along the way because of positioning on dog legs. Putting was straight on even if it looked like there was a slope or turn in the green; play to the hole.Management is very courteous and polite. They do their best to accommodate guest.1st year - This course offers a great deal of challenge to any player that can not hold the fairway. They are narrow and approaching holes requires a careful review of the hole placement front to back and also how far from the edge of the green. While putting is true, it offers little room for error on long putts, and so your chip shot must be in the ten foot zone to not loose a stroke. While the greens are true with very little break on the greens, the slope that is hidden on the mountain comes into play.
VERY PLEASANT STAFF. WITH MATURITY THE COURSE WILL BE VERY GOOD. THE GREENS ARE ALREADY EXCELLENT.
My personal favorite in the Billings area. The course is still very young and has some maturing to do. What they lack in trees they more than make up for with O.B. No homes to worry about. Hitting fairways will give you the chance to post a really good score. The greens are manageable but can get away from you if not careful. I definately recommend this course to anyone, it's never too busy.
