The 9-hole "Meramec" course at the Tapawingo National Golf Club facility in Saint Louis, Missouri features 3,631 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 36. Designed by Gary Player, the Meramec golf course opened in 1997.
The course was very well maintained when I had our annual outing this year. Greens looked good considering it was a hot summer in Saint Louis. The rough is way too long this year and is unplayable for an avg. golfer. The guy who runs the tournaments at Tapawingo was very rude and unwilling to make adjustments on the fly. There is also this old guy with white hair and glasses who talks very loud and is rude to people, it doesnt seem like he knows much about golf either. I asked the Head Pro what kind of greens are on the course and he had to ask the assistant for help...kind of wierd. Besides those observations, I love the course it has so much potential but needs better management. Lastly their is this old guy who drives a mercedes that looks like death, hes very scary looking and should not be showing up on a daily basis.
