The Missouri Bluffs Golf Club, Saint Charles, MO

Very disappointed in recent experience. We'll start with "Mr. Personality" in the pro shop for check in. Couldn't have made a worse first impression. Felt like I was bothering him. No water on course, no drink cart on course, and it was rather hot. Most tees (played the white tees) were in very bad shape. Fairways and Greens were in pretty good shape. DO NOT TAKE A CART INTO THE PARKING LOT! Making the turn and accidently turn into the parking lot, immediately set upon by the Cart Nazis and they were not very friendly at all. Apparently if you take a cart into the parking lot it will cause a nuclear holocaust. Pace of play was five hours for a weekday afternoon (5/26). They sent off a lot of twosomes and baby it was slow. No marshal on course to monitor and speed up play. Overall the experience was such that I will not go back again, too many other places to play for less and personable staffs. Buyer beware!

the management was very friendly and helpful. All the greens are in great condition. If you get in the rough, kiss your ball goodbye. The recent rains have made the grass in the rough very thick. The fairways are pretty narrow, but overall this was a fun course to play. Nothing difficult.

Played on 8/12/11, the greens were in absolute horrendous condition, worse than the worst of goat tracks I've ever played. In my opinion if the course is in anything less than acceptable condition you should be playing at reduced rates.

The older cart guy is an idiot.

We had to guit playing after 4 holes due to weather, since it was the end of the day and wouldn't have gotten the 18 in we decided to try to get a rain check. They would only give us a rain check for 9 holes despite giving 2 others in our same group a rain check for 18. ??? Needless to say I won't be going back to this course. I can play Quail Creek in much better condition for less than half the price.
