Great layout, challenging holes, beautiful scenery, but when we played the greens were very beat up from overplay. Poorly repaired ball marks everywhere, no such thing as a true roll, sadly. If the greens had been in better shape this would be a five-star.

The good: very scenic throughout the course. no bad holes. near perfect greens. a dynamite finishing hole. great replay rate.

The bad: alot of the holes look somewhat alike. the first par-5 is the 9th hole. the rough is so thick and long my friend and I lost 7 balls in the rough on the front 9, and we are both single digit handicaps. the par-3s were not awe-inspiring like I would expect for this level of course.

Overall: a must play in the Ozarks. very pretty course and worth a 36 hole play. or go on twilite which is $45.

Beautiful holes, most holes are well shaped and reasonably difficult, Scenery is spectacular. but some holes are just a @$!*%, so hope you have a long drive or some good long irons!! great course, i recommend it!

Love this course

We have a group of 20+ guys who play a weekend of golf every year, and since we've discovered Old Kinderhook, we've not only made the basis of our tournment OK, but we all stay on-site. It's not overly difficult, but you have to hit your shots. It's not cheap to play, but it doesn't require a small loan. We jump around a bit for our Friday and Sunday rounds, and no course we've played in the last 10 years comes close to Kinderhook.

It was a pleasure to play this course.

We had 9 guys play this course and all said it was the best course we have played in the Oazrks. We have been coming down for 8 years and this was the first time to play Old Kinderhook. Everyone agreed that it would be on the top of the list to play again.

Challenging and Beautiful

Great course that you have to play again just to truly appreciate. Lots of challenging shots, but plays fair from the fairways.
