The 18-hole "Gailes" course at the Lakewood Shores Resort facility in Oscoda, Michigan features 6,954 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 75.0 and it has a slope rating of 138. Designed by Kevin Aldridge, the Gailes golf course opened in 1992. Craig Peters, PGA manages the course as the Golf Professional.

Well groomed, well designed, with excellent playing conditions. Large fairways but some pot bunkers will surprise you, even on good shots. Generally fair though. Very large and some shared greens. A fun, links style course to play. Has some give and take with risk and reward to kept it interesting. Could have been more player friendly as there were no on-course yardage markers except for 150 yard posts and no GPS. Perhaps that is intentional for a "Scottish" style course. However they offered a yardage book in the clubhouse for an extra $5.00.
