No course for a beginner or any linkster with a faint heart so, as the old saying goes, "Don't send a boy". Sand traps galore and long, grueling but extemely well-kept and generally tight fairways. Obviously designed for experienced golfers who can pound the ball hard with way above-average accuracy. VERY challenging --if that's your thing.

Challenging, well kept. Sign up at pro shop to receive email specials.

This course is brutal, especially from the back 2 sets of tees (blue and black). The greens are firm and fast!!! Accuracy is a must on most holes. I do like a lot of the elevated tee shots though. I would not recommend this course for beginners, unless you're planning on playing the women's tees (and the kids tees if you're female).

Don't you dare compare this Pilgrim's Run. It's not even in the same universe. It's not bad for a flat, unimaginative track. It's overpriced and overplayed. Sure, it's easier to get to from Grand Rapids than the nicer courses, twenty minutes to the north. That's why it's so slow. In fact, keep playing there and leave me Whitefish or Brigadoon, where the play is open and paced. It's a nice course and the sand is tricky but it's not St. Ives, or Tullymore, or Pilgrim's Run. The time you save in getting to Chase you'll waste sitting on the tee box.

Great track. If you want to score at this site you have to be able to read the greens. A lot of subtle breaks that are difficult to see and very fast surfaces. This course probably has more varieties and styles of holes than any course I've played. One the west Michigan's best values and a must play. On a par with Pilgrim's Run which gets top billing in my book.

Verrrry very highly recomended. A very difficulf course, but the greenskeepers do a good job, so that golfers who arent as good can have fun as well. not too many hackers pla this course, and even when they do the greenskeepers keep the course in excellent shape.

don't miss this one!!!

This is by far my favorite course within 30 miles of Grand Rapids. It has it all, open links-style, tight wooded holes, several sets of tees to help players of all ages enjoy the course. The clubhouse is small, but it is at the highest point on the course and overlooks the entire course. You will swear you are up north. The course is well-maintained, the scenery beautiful. If you are going to play either of the back sets of tees, bring enough balls. You might want to bring a pencil with an eraser, too. This course is tough!! The best thing about the course, it is very reasonably priced. Probably the best value around, if you don't mind a 20-30 minute drive (from downtown Grand Rapids).
