Course Reviews

This is an awesome course. Fantastic scenery. Tough but fair. Great elevation changes, water in a couple of places, plenty of trees. Big rolling greens. Tends to play slow and no rangers in sight.

Awsome course, beautiful rolling layout, not houses or other targets to hit which I love. Wonderful staff and even flow of golfers. WOuld play again, loved this course. Best greens I Have ever seen in Michigan

"AWSOME" golf course. Every thing about this course is special. One of the funnest golf course's i have ever played. They have some greens that will blow your mind. The pro shop staff is terrible but don't let that keep you away from this gem. MUST PLAY!!!!!!!!!

This is an incredible designed course; coupled with the Yarrow Resort and the staff, it is a very unique and fun golf experience. The driving range has an awesome view, one of many. The Oberon is good as usual. Too bad Yarrow Golf and Resort doesn't get more publicity locally...

DITTO to the PManGolfer comment... (2 - Down)
If you've seen any of my other reviews, You would know I must love this course.. I rated it really High.. I just got back from winning a 5 round tournament at Boyne Highlands Resort... and I must say, This is still my favorite course I'v EVER played in my 11 years of FULL TIME golfing.. I've wrote over 50 reviews on golflink.com .... something about the magnificent size of everything.. from the bag-drop to the first hole seems like a half mile cart ride... the first tee is an optical illusion. A par 5 that looks like its only 350 yards, Its takes a pretty good poke to get past the ladies tee... then 2 more Huge shots Uphill.. PAR is a great score on this hole.. So make sure you get there an hour or two early and Check this place out... And defiantly Warm up your game before you drive over to that first tee... you will thank me later...

Great beautiful course. Staff is friendly and professional.

First class operation from the minute you stop at the bag drop. All staff very friendly and helpful. Course is magnificent. Gorgeous layout. Combo links style/upper Michigan woods venue. Fairways wide and usually not flat. Greens are unbelievable. Huge and undulating. Some pin placements very challenging. Senior price is a great value. Will not hesitate to play here again. Saw deer, turkeys, geese.

The new superintendent is doing a great job. Course is still young but looking great. Bunkers are the only things that need work. Once bunkers are edged and cleaned up this course could be top 20 public courses in Michigan.

Great views...great landscape and elevation changes

Great New Course in the rolling hills of south west Michigan

This is a very scenic new course well on its way to greatness. The multiple tees provide a challenge for every golfing level. This is a very hilly course that blends in beautifully with the surroundings. Everyone at the course was very customer focused and went out of their way to make our experience enjoyable. A number of the holes have different routes you can take depending upon your risk tolerance level. The design is great because you can plainly see whats ahead as you view each hole from the tees. There are no hidden hazards or gimmicks - what you see is what you get to play. The greens are worthy of a seperate review on their own - I think these are the largest greens of any course I have played. The greens all seem to have at least 3 tiers so you need to put your ball in the correct location on the green in order to make that birdie. This is a course that needs very little to make it tournament worthy - I would add a little better sand in the traps and with that I think watch out PGA.
