This course is NOT for the faint hearted! It plays all of the 6359 Yds. and then some. If your handicap is above 18 you will not score well. It is target golf and almost every hole has a natural growth hazard going across it(lots of layups). Bring lots of golf balls. Don't play if it is wet for there is NO roll. Greens are true and in great shape, as is the rest of the course. I want another chance--next year.

Great Course. I was able to be the first one out on a Thursday morning..at 7:30 am. The Staff is friendly, and lay out is tough. Bring extra balls if you are not great. The scenery is appealing, although I almost hit a landing airplane with a golf ball. some trails inbetween holes and Tees are confusing. I would play again when I am in the area.

Very challenging course. Bring enough golf balls.

Well maintained course next to the Maine Mall. I have found it easy to walk in without a reservation and play almost any time in the afternoon.

'Good buy' for the money ...$45/with discount coupon.
Nice lay-out; drainage a problem when wet; yardage on the tees doesn't always match the book; could use some amenities in the carts -- water bottles, towels, tees.

This is a fantastic place to play. It is just minutes from Portland. The track layout is very challenging. It offers scenery that is fabulous. If you are an average golfer you might want to bring a dozen or so. However, it is worth the cost. It is one of the best values I have every played. The cost was $50 for weekday play. I would for sure return to this course. The only down side was no driving range. Other than that, it was great!

Great course, especially for the money

If you want to play a very challenging course right in the heart of Portland look no further then Sable Oaks. Each fairway is lined with trees and rolling hills. Very difficult, even for the best of golfers. Amazingly good price for the southern Maine area. Greens fees were only in the $40 range for 18.
