Course Reviews

Played beginning of last year 2012. Course has gone down hill drastically. Used to be one of the finer layouts in the Portland area, however due to financial or other considerations the course has been reduced to below average maintenance. To bad, nice Dan Maple design.

played on a tuesday afternoon played really slow no starter went off as single and no one told me to play with a twosome or wait for a group so there where other singles playing i left before the sevneth hole tee boxes are mostly sand and dirt with no grass and some of the fairways where burnt and not repaired

Fun course to play on vacation. Front nine was not kept up that great. Back nine much better. Good value off season. Played 10/4/10

Interesting course. Some rather narrow fairways, a fair amount of water, and some excellent greens. Played in late fall, course was in excellent shape. Cart was necessary due to the distance between some of the holes. Well worth a visit.

A pretty and interesting course just a couple minutes from the Old Orchard Beach pier. The course meanders quite a bit, so the cart that's included in the greens fee is highly recommended. The houses adjacent to the course are a bit distracting but for the most part they are not in range. Pace of play on a Wednesday morning was just over 4 hours for a twosome. If you don't like forced carries, this course is not for you, but otherwise it will provide a very enjoyable round for both short and long hitters.

Can't beat the Tuesday Special! Course was in great shape for August.

For $79 I would expect water on the course, and yardage markers on the sprinkler heads. The green were in extremely poor condition, a few seemed like they were beyond saving. Target golf, with any sense of aesthetics spoiled by houses EVERYWHERE.

We played 4 years ago, and it seems like they have just let the place slowly die. $79 is the real crime, just a terrible value.

Played Dunegrass on Tuesday (7/22). The place was full and pace was good. We played in 4 hrs 35 minutes. While earlier in the season, you could tell that Maine had a tough winter, the greens were great this time around!! Since we golf here more than occassionally, we noticed lots of flowers being planted at tee boxes, and lots of other general improvements..We think the place looks great. They also just lowered their rates a bit...weekdays (Monday to Thursday) are a great deal. I still think they are a great deal even on weekends at $79. Staff has been great this year too! I'd check them out again if I had a bad day, cause I haven't had one.

dune grass is a nice course, how ever this pas winter did stress a few of the greens, and now they are starting to get better except # 15

I played dunegrass 7-13 08,could not have been more disappointed in their conditions.I held a tournament there last fall, the place was in its usual immaculate conditions.Upon returning the place looked ratty.Tees were not in great condition some greens appeared to be dying, fairways were brown in spots. We travel here at least twice a year from Danvers Ma.NOT ANY MORE! I am saddened to see one of favorite course going to hell. They will never survive charging those prices in Maine if the course continues to look like this.I was embarrassed after telling my friend who had never played here how nice it was!

Great course

'Good buy'...$45/Tuesday.

Front-9 ... Interesting lay-out, definitely more challenging & enjoyable than the back-9 [which is relatively bland & flat].

At the discounted rate ... Definitely would keep on the list 'to play'!

NB. Tom Murphy ... Nice guy, with a smooth swing.

Beautiful Course

Tuesday special was a great value.

Excellent design, Exceptionnal service by the starter and the marshall.

we played within 4 hrs and we did not wait with the foursome
ahead of us. We appreciated knowing exactly where the pins
where placed on the greens. Good tempo. friendly atmosphere.
I wish I would live nearby. But I will come back and I will
send friends here. Bravissimo, Roger Matte, Quebec City
