Course Reviews

I played July of 2010. WamGolf may not have heard that they just completed major historic renovation so it is still growing in somewhat. It is in fine shape now, and will be spectacular in 2011. I highly recommend it--better than any other Southern Maine course, no question. GREAT greens and views with links feel.

I played here in May of 2010. The course is rich with tradition and has an amazing "Old New England" charm to it. The course itself was in poor condition but they were working on it. It's probably not worth $60 but I'm happy I played it once for the history. You can read my full review here: www.wamgolf.com

A beautiful and scenic links course on the Kennebunk River and tidal creeks. I played it and loved it on vacation--tricky greens but not long. No course near Kennebunkport has better scenery or the tradition of this course (est. 1896)--i've tried them. WECoyote is wrong about balls flying around--there's plenty of room but it is an old-time classic walking course, not a new cart-paths everywhere GPS etc. course.

Frankly i can't see why they charge so much to play here..spent most of my time ducking other peoples approach shot from the previous hole..green from one is almost on top of the next tee boxes..course not in the best of shape..vending machine seemed to be the only ammenities besides a pro shop..all in all...not worth the money...travel a little futher and play Nonesuch or Willowdale in Scarborough both nicer courses with alot more to offer...keep clear of this tourist trap

Classic old course

Fun course. A nice place to play if you are in the area. Leave the cart and walk this one.

Oct 2006. No frills here, but I like this kind of course. A good, walkable course. Not too hard, but hit it wrong or don't play smart and your score can grow quickly. Geo Bush (41) played the day before I did with Mickelson and Leonard. Phil shot a course record 60. That would have been fun to see. The staff is friendly and helpful.
