like the person before me said....look out for slick tires and cart paths! we were not acting stupid either and almost flipped twice! the course is in excellent condition. sand is a little rocky, but greens are in excellent shape and very challenging. questionable layouts, like the par 5 you can't hit anything more than a 5iron off of! par 3's are fairly easy though. great course for a great price!!!

Up and down best explains the front nine of Westminter. If the cart paths are wet or your cart tires are very careful...many steep slopes... we "doughnutted" the cart and almost flipped- and no...we weren't being stupid. I really enjoyed the front nine which was hilly and tight. Some challenging doglegs. The back is more open and figuring out which green to shoot at on hole 13 caused confusion (go to the green on the left...we didn't). I found the course very fair though some of the rough a bit long (cost of gas?). If you like hilly courses...this is your place. Staff very friendly!

We played here on 4/17/08 and found the course to be greatly improved over the past couple of years. In the past, the approach shots to #9 and #18 were very difficult, since even "good shots" went bouncing or rolling into the pond. They have since made renovations so that such shots are not so severly penalized. Maintenance has been quite good (or is it just the Spring?) don't walk this course if youre not in good shape; good value for the money - expecially with teetime golf pass. Hit your shots for position - not distance or you will find yourself writing down numbers on your scorecard that you wont like !! ...which of course will make you give unfair opinons in order to save your

I really like this course! Hills are a challenge, and this certainly not a course you could walk. Price wasn't too bad. Greens and fairways were in great shape and very well maintained. Folks could do a better job of making their own repairs on the tee boxes.

Great course perfect fairways and greens!! Tee boxs could use a lil work but other then that its a nice place too play. And they doo serve beer !! I would much rather play here then cedar ridge, qauil valley, flatbush or wakefield !! Wakefield is horribly designed and the people who work there have no clue !! The other courses fairways are not in great shape, quail valley has some fast greens !

Can you say "Billy Goat?"

Terrible course design over some beautiful scenery. Very hilly, not walkable unless you're in very good shape. Greens are smallish, with a few notable exceptions, and are slow , yet tough to hold. Water on a few holes, but nothing unfair. Design is just...goofy, I'd say. Lots of blind tee shots, crazy fairway sopes, and punitive rough if off the closely-mown area. Per the previous review, #9 and #18, both par 5's, are on opposite sides of the same pond, and both fairways and greens slope toward the pond. Very possible to hit a shot that land on the high side of the green, then finds its way down the slope to the hazard. Clubhouse is minimal, but does have a "banquet room" for tournaments, Gets a lot of local tournament play because it's cheap. Pro shop has minimal merchandise. Snack bar staff is nice, menu limited to burgers and dogs, and I don't recall if you can get a beer there or not. Even though I live nearby, I don't play here unless coerced, as the layout is so bad. For about the same price, one can play at Flatbush, Quail Valley, Cedar Ridge, or Oakmont Green, all of which are less than 20 minutes away. For a few bucks more, you can play at Wakefield Valley, a first rate facility only five minutes away in Westminster.

Green much to be desired

Every green is like an upside down bowl and many a good shot is penalized for poor green design. The 9th and 18th greens are not the way you want to finish a round, they seem to let even the best of approach shots drift to the pond.
