Fore Sisters is a great local course. Rather difficult for a new golfer I must say. Lots of hills and water hazards. Personally I found the greens very fast and difficult. There are plenty of water coolers through out the course. I did find the balls that did land in the fairways found their way to the rough very quick. Some of the holes are too long for a beginner. However the people are very friendly and the course has beautiful scenery. I found the front 9 a lot more my style than the back 9. Overall the course is worth a round and I am sure you will be back.

The scenery at Fore Sisters will divert your attention away from your game at some point...should really be beautiful when the leaves change. This is a hilly course with trees bordering most holes...but the fairways are open enough that unless you are a serious hacker, you shouldn't lose too many balls. Some beautiful Par 3s, most guarded by water. A few gimicky holes...did not like the Par 5 8th that is way too crooked...first timers will be very confused. Some serious dogleg holes also (especially #13). No sign after 8 confused us into playing #11 next...another group did the same thing when we went to tee off on #11...so beware of confusion. Biggest negative was the constant rolling of balls off the fairway after perfectly placed drives down the middle of the fairway...even when the fairway appeared to not be too sloped. It was recommended that we ride (though we walked)...long course to walk since there is some distance between some holes. #9 is far from the clubhouse, there is a snack machine at the turn. Though frustrated by the fairways failing to hold drives, I enjoyed the course set-up and scenery.
