pretty easy course because of its length and minimal amount of trees. great for sprayers off the tee.usually in great shape. great specials too. highly recommend this course.

Played in early May after aeration and a good bit of rain. Really enjoyed this course. I think the overall description is accurate. Not very long, but you need to be a shot maker. On the wrong side of the fairway or wrong side approach to the green equals bogey. Very similar layout, hills, and admixture of green sizes like Little Bennett. Definitely would play again, route 27 can get congested, so give yourself time to maker your tee time.

The course is burned up right now. Due to drought conditions they're only watering the tees and the greens. The fairways are almost solid dirt. The ball carries a long way (as you can imagine) which allowed me to break 100 for the first time. They recently got .75 inches of rain which helped the fairways some but they need a lot more. Spend your money elsewhere for now and come back in the fall when the course is in better shape.

Nice

This course is very well put together. I've been returning to this golf course for two years and it still offers challenges on every hole. I enjoy playing here a lot and recommend it to all of my friends who play. The greens and fairways are always in good conditions and can expect exactly what you pay for.

Pretty Good Muni

Play here regularly. Course is owned by Montgomery County, and is part of a multiple course "system." Decent design, lots of elevation change, some water, walkable if you're in fair shape. Most holes are pretty straghtforward, without much trickery. Generally well maintained. Fairways are generally roomy, bunkers mostly greenside, and greens are medium large, medium fast, and some have some serious contouring (#5, #6 and #7 will make one a believer!). Shop staff is competent, and friendly enough, if not at private club level. Snack bar staff is very iffy: I've had some really good interfaces, and some where it was clear that I was not even in the top ten of the staffer's priorities. Starters/rangers only on weekends, for the most part, and are usually cool. Pricing has been all over the map, with regular, weekend, twilight, off-season, senior and junior rates, but it's generally affordable. Gets a lot of play, so call ahead to make sure you can get on.
