I don't know where all of the hate is coming from. The new back 9 is great, although there are a couple areas where the grass still needs to grow in but it's mostly on the outer perimeter of a couple holes so those areas don't come into play often. It can be slow during peak times, but it usually is just over 4 hours for a round. Course is almost always in great shape but greens can be a little bumpy on occasion.

Now called Fox Hollow, the back nine of this course has been totally re-designed except for a few holes. The problem is the greens. The new greens have not grown in after two summers of growth. Greens are sandy and the blades of glass a bit "hairy" and sparse. Even some of the original greens are worse than they used to be right now. Remember...they aren't called 'greens fees' for nothing. Try nearby Pine Ridge or Mount Pleasant

How this course got on Maryland's top 25, ahead of courses like Bulle Rock (Maryland's best course), Beechtree, and Mountain Branch, I have no idea. This course should barely make the Maryland's Top 25 Municipal Course list. Short course with terribly bumpy greens which would frustrate the best putters. Not even worth a second thought with municipal courses like Pine Ridge and Mount Pleasant nearby.

Short Course Many Hours

Unfortunately this public course is not set up for a four hour round. With horrendous pin placements, and rough which takes time to find a tee shot that misses the fairway. The weekend golfer can plan on spending at least 4 1/2hours to play this short course.
