The 18-hole "Oakmont Green" course at the Oakmont Green Golf Course facility in Hampstead, Maryland features 6,600 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 71.4 and it has a slope rating of 122. Designed by Leland Snyder, the Oakmont Green golf course opened in 1992. Patrick McDonold manages the course as the General Manager.

Oakmont Green is typical...no gimmics....just straight forward golf with a few doglegs thrown in. Traps mostly avoidable, course very flat, slightly lumpy tee boxes, rough reasonable, and greens petrifyingly slow! Conditions in a very dry July were tolerable...attempting to keep the fairways watered between golfers. The course lacks pizzazz but a nice place to get a round in before heading to a tougher course. Not a lot of challenge here but quality golf for a descent price.
