Booked this course as part of a miningolf vacation in Ocean City M.D. being from Pa. we scheduled play on way home. If I had known it was in a 55+ community that didnt allow play before thier mens or ladies leagues go off (which was told to me by guy in proshop was almost every wk day)I would have not played here! it made for a very long round! almost 5 hrs for our twosome. now granted the course was nice great gps system ball/club washer on cart along with a small cooler filled with ice. 17 holes had water but was very managable to avoid. some holes had very long distances between green to next tee box. But I would recommend playing elsewhere or playing later after 1pm. By the way at the end your first beer is the price of your score!
We plan an annual trip to the Ocean City area every Spring and played this course for the first time two weeks ago. We have a variety of handicaps in our 8-12 member group (9 this year) and everyone enjoyed the course. Yes, water is in play, but takes a really bad shot. Course was in excellent condition, fairways, rough, greens.....all in great shape and well manicured. Staff was friendly, and had a nice driving range. It was our return home day and we stayed for lunch after our round.....clubhouse restaurant was nice and food was good. One suggestion though for making golf more enjoyable: the greens are huge and the pin placement markers on the scorecard go only 1-2-3. If the pins are placed on the edges of the greens as they were when we played you can easily have 50-60' putts....or longer.....even if you hit a good approach to the middle of the green. They should have at least 6 pin placement designations for greens this size. We would play this course again.
Played this course in April 2011 as part of an OC MD package and really enjoyed it. Although water is on 17 holes, in most cases it takes a really bad shot to bring it into play. Conditions were great.
