The 18-hole "Shaker Farms" course at the Shaker Farms Country Club facility in Westfield, Massachusetts features 6,285 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 69.4 and it has a slope rating of 119 on Blue grass. Designed by Geoffrey S. Cornish, ASGCA, the Shaker Farms golf course opened in 1957.

This course is not in great shape, however, you can see that this was once a well cared for course. The Geoffrey Cornish design is apparent after playing a few holes. Too much crab grass, dirt patches, etc. it was a pretty good value using golfnow.com at $23 per person on a Saturday in August. We may go back in the fall.

This course needs some TLC. The tee boxes are beat up at several holes and the several sand traps are rocked out. Trees need to be trimmed on some holes. They make for a very narrow gap to hit onto fairway. Directional signs need to be installed for the "out of towners" Course could be fixed just needs some TLC.
