July 4th, 2011, my family and I had the wonderful opportunity playing The Orchards with great weather in the 80's. This Donald Ross gem has it all. At times, it feels like a links coarse, but it can't be. It's not anywhere near the ocean. There are numerous water hazards, oouch! There are hidden subtleties that make you want to play the hole over again, as soon as you finish the hole. It's a thinking persons coarse. The head pro, Tony, is a pleasing gentleman. The coarse has a lot of history conducting NCAA championships along with a woman's U.S. Open.
