The 9-hole "Hidden Hollow" course at the Hidden Hollow Country Club facility in Rehoboth, Massachusetts features 2,905 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 35. Designed by William B. Clark, the Hidden Hollow golf course opened in 1962.
Hidden Hollow is an interesting and challenging 9 hole public golf course. This is a very enjoyable course to play. It’s a rare find because golfers of all levels can all get something out of this course. The course is nicely paced, with a good variety between the par 3, 4 and 5 holes. Overall, you’ll mostly find Par 4 holes that are 300 yards or longer. The setting of this course wide fairways with heavily treed in surroundings. This gives the course a private feel. Here’s a few tips for the signature hole. Hole #6 is a Par 5, and the longest hole on the course at 481 yards. You’re hitting uphill, and watch out for the pond to the right of the fairway. There’s a few other things you should watch out for on this course. Hole #2 is very narrow. Consider using a 3-wood instead of a driver on this one. Hole #3 is the shortest hole on the course at 187 yards. Hole #4 is a blind shot that doglegs to the right. On Hole #9, you’ll find that the green is actually behind the clubhouse, so try not to get intimidated by everybody watching your shots! The biggest drawback of this course is that they have a rule against single golfers. No matter what, the ladies who work in the clubhouse will ALWAYS pair up a single golfer. It’s annoying because this would be a perfect course to enjoy for a quick round alone. Fairways are well-maintained and greens play true. The clubhouse is just o.k. For the quality of this course, it’s a great deal (green fee is $18 on weekdays or $22 on the weekend.) Make sure to follow the scorecard for directions, since the layout of this course can be confusing. Take a left off the first green, and then follow the course counter-clockwise. Hidden Hollow is an excellent deal for the level of play offered at this course. Bring a friend to avoid being paired up. Consider enjoying the 19th hole offsite.
I can promise you I won't be recommending this place to anybody... Incredibly unprofessional and snobby employees who only cater to older experienced golfers. Awful experience I can't believe it
This is a course I play a lot. It's extremely inexpensive. $18 during the week or $22 on the weekends. It's only a 9 hole course, but just play it twice. I find playing it twice is nice because I can compare my scores from front to back and really practice my bad shots. The people who work here have never been anything but nice to me. They are very nice and accommodating. The course isn't difficult. There's a lot of room for drives and the rough isn't that tall. But it's always in great condition. It's overall a fun course to play. if you want to just go out and play a round without trying to stress about your score or losing a bunch of balls, than this is the course for you.A lot of the holes are on the shorter side with a driver really not necessary on any hole. The longest hole is the par 5 at 458 yards. Short on paper, but from the tee to the green you're hitting uphill the entire time. It is however wide open. All in all, its a good cheap fun course. worth playing if you are looking to play some golf. If you have expectations of a world class championship course than look elsewhere. Also note, this course is cash only. So no cards accepted.
The "Ladies" that run this course are miserable old hags. Even their employees are afraid of them. We will NEVER go there again. They REFUSE to let anyone play alone...even if there is no one else going out, and you have already paid. It isn't worth the aggravation. Enjoy your empty golf course old ladies...we won't be back, and we're spreading the word.
Good course for the cost. The course is well maintained and the greens are pretty nice. There are a few challenging hazards, and a couple holes require straight shots. A friend and I each paid $21, and that got us 18 holes. The 2nd time around there was a real obnoxious guy playing in a group of 3 behind us. All in all, it was a nicely kept course, and well worth the price. I will be going again for sure
