Sandwich Hollows Golf Club, East Sandwich, MA

Played Sandwich Hollows on a nice, comfortable summer August Saturday morning. On Saturday mornings, the course uses a 7:30AM shotgun start. I liked the format, as it kept play moving pretty well. We finished our round in just over 4 hours.

The course was in good shape. There were a few greens that were not in the best of shape but overall, the course was very much playable and well worth the money. It cost only $40 with cart to play on a Saturday morning. That is a great deal.

There are some neat holes, particularly on the back nine. Hole #14, a par 5 is an up and down dipsy doo hole. Hole #17 is also a down, then up dogleg left par 4. Hole #18 has some strategically placed water on the right hand side and a tree in the middle of the fairway that guards the green.

There is a restaurant/bar that looks like it serves more than just your standard golf course restaurant fare.

A recommended play and a great deal for summer golf on the Cape.
