The 18-hole "National" course at the The National Golf Club of Louisiana facility in Westlake, Louisiana features 6,944 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. Designed by Dave Bennett, ASGCA, the National golf course opened in 2009.
Great tract, without the nice clubhouse, GPS or other amenities of most courses in the area. Parking is in a dirt lot! But the golf is first rate. Somewhat long, tricky greens, and lots of sand and water. Bring your A game, and enjoy.
visited here on business in August course is a nice but has a not so friendly atmosphere play somewhere else yes
Once new club house is built rating will go up. Other than that great place to play.
This course is set up really nice. When they finally build a clubhouse and other anenities, it will rival any golf club in the lake area
Played the course this Sunday, during the "offseason". From the start, you might think it will be a course like others, but it really isnt. The distance will test long hitting accuracy, but short hitters will be rewarded with plenty of layup options. The price is great, under $25 weekdays and under $35 weekends. Great service, the practice facilities are outstanding also, and for once, the practice at the practice facility is what the course is. Great, fast, challenging greens that roll truer than others in the area. Oh yea, the drainage is great too, every fairway was dry despite rains coming through in the past week. Overall, I would say this is one of Louisiana's top courses.
Played in the winter, course drains very well.Greens and fairways were nice.
