The 18-hole "Graywood" course at the Graywood Golf & Racquet Club facility in Lake Charles, Louisiana features 6,946 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. Designed by Rocky Roquemore, the Graywood golf course opened in 1999.
Friendly, welcoming staff, good practice facility, and best of all, a great layout with challenging risk/reward holes that you will enjoy and remember after your round. The pace of play is perfect. That's the good news. Fairways were in good shape, but at the time of this writing, about a third of the greens had damage and most bunkers were hard-packed and thin. The natural scenery is great, but some fairways are lined with closely-packed homes that can make it feel a bit crowded. Bring bug spray as the mosquitoes can be bad.
