Chennault Park Golf Course, Monroe, LA

Played this course for the first time about a two weeks ago. There was a lot of standing water and ground under repair. Fairways were in pretty good condition. Now on to the greens, they were in very ill repair and in need of some tlc to say the least.

The Park Director was rude to out group. We are all new golfers. Half of us played for the first time and the Chennault Park Director came out and was very rudely about the number of players in out group. He had no concern for the fact that his staff let us book a tee time with more people that played. If he had not been a jerk we would have all be very sorry and understanding. Instead we finished the hole and will NEVER go back. I will never spend a dime at Chennault Park.

Almost all of the sprinkler controls had broken covers and exposed valves.

Attitude is like $h$t. A little is too much on a golf course!

What a difference a year can make. Golf pro/director of Golf Michael Nugent has done wonders with this course. The reconstruction of tee boxes, recreation of greens along with the addition of sand traps in strategic locations gives this course a far superior feel than your typical muni course. Even the club house has been remodeled. Really good course.
