The 9-hole "Meadow" course at the Olde Oaks Golf Club facility in Haughton, Louisiana features 3,681 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 36. Designed by Kevin Tucker/Hal Sutton, the Meadow golf course opened in 1999.
Typically old oakes is a beautiful layout in a nice location. unfortunately, it has suffered through several financial setbacks and unstable management. I played here on 6/17/13 and the course is horrendous. Weeds and grass are not maintained at proper levels and every bunker on the course was un-playable. Some of the bunkers have not been playable for years and have exposed roots and plimbling. The fairways were good, but the thing that makes this course a total "bust"....are the greens. The greens are the worst I've seen in all my years of golfing. They should either stop charging or close this course until the greens have been restored. This was my worst day ever at this course....We we didn't even bother to try and putt on at least 9 of the 18 holes. Thank god I only had to pay $18 or I might have filed a lawsuit! Right now, this course is a total waste of time and $$$.
