Sleepy Hollow is a marvelous little track. You can take a cart, or, as I did, walk the track. There is enough change in elevation to make you think about the shot you will be hitting. While not overly long and only having 9 holes, this was, by far, one of the most enjoyable afternoon's I have enjoyed in a long time.

The folks who own this place truly love it and care for it. Play it, you will be glad you did!

Sleepy Hollow is a hidden gem with lots of challenge and depth by any standard, but especially for a country golf course. The course was built on a family farm 50 years ago, and the pride of ownership shows through.

This is a semi-private course with affordable memberships and drop-ins for members of the public. It’s also really affordable for the quality of the course - $11 to walk nine or $30 for 18 holes with a cart. This course is very well maintained (especially the fairways) and isn’t frequently played since not everybody knows about it.

The course is light on hazards but it’s still challenging. There are 3 holes where water comes into play and one of these is a hidden water hazard. You’ll also find a few sand bunkers. The fairways are narrow and gently undulating. There are a few large trees on the course that add to the difficulty, but no dense tree lines. The course is set in between farmer’s fields, which makes for a unique setting.

There are a few things that could be improved at the course. First off, there isn’t a ranger which can lead to pace of play issues. You might encounter the owners coming onto the course and telling players to hurry up once in a while. It isn’t the most professional set-up in that way. The owners and staff can be hit or miss depending on the day. It would be nice to have consistently friendly service.

This is a great course to play on a weekday morning - avoid it on the weekend. It’s a very unique course given that it’s set in the countryside and yet is so well groomed and offers a sophisticated level of challenge. This course is definitely worth your while.

Reasonably large, open fairways and nice greens (except in late summer).
My favorite aspect of this course is the attitude. It is completely free of the pretentious attitude found at some local courses. Just a nice, laid back country golf course. I always have a great time.

Beware, on the 2 holes with water hazards near, it's easier to end up in the water than you may think.
