Monday, 9 April 2012. I was disappointed at how many weeds and onion sets were growing through the fairway grass. I would not play this course again.

Best municipal course in the state of Kentucky? No. Not even close in my opinion after playing there yesterday. Rates are reasonable at $35.00 with a cart on the weekends. The course has a decent layout and I liked the greens s they all had some slope and character to them, very few flat puts. The greens suffered as most did this year due to a lack of rain but were certainly playable. There is no rough on the course. Just dead grass and hardpan dirt. I think Charlie Vettiner is Louisville is a better course and Lassing Pointe in Union, Ky. is a much better course. Decent enough track I'm sure when the rough is in and there aren't so many dead areas around the greens and fairways but don't look for a wow factor, it's not there.

Great course to play on weekdays. Only 22.00$ with a cart. Course can play medium or hard depending on the tees you play from. The fairways are new and still coming in, but the greens are in pretty decent shape. A few of the Par 3's have a tough slope on the greens and can be a real challenge depending on the pin location. Staff is very friendly, great course for the money.

The course is great for players of all skill levels. For the player just starting out its great due to the fact that you have to hit so many different kinds of shots, it will really improve your game. I know it did mine, I used to shoot a scary 3 digit # and now I can say that those days are long gone. If you consider yourself to be a good golfer then playing from the blue tees here is always going to be a fun and challenging round. You also have a funny and caring course manager who is always wanting to know how everyone is shooting. This course still needs a little work but when summer hits this course will be in tip top shape.

We played this course on 30 Dec 08. The course was in terrible condition. The clubhouse/pro-shop is a joke. The only thing they sold was gloves and towels. The clerk asked us if we wanted a hot dog when we made the turn so he would not waste making them if we did, we told him YES and when we got to the turn looking for our hot dog, there was nothing ready. The clerk was also very poor with his customer service, we were checking in and paying our fee and the phone rang and he just turned away from us and answer the call and never say anything when he was done. The course layout is Ok, but there were mole mounds everywhere on the course. The greens were OK, but they were all covered with leaves and it didn't look like they cared about cleaning them off. Overall this course was not worth the money. I would play Nevel Meade or Henry County if your in this area.

beautiful course

Well layed out course with holes ranging from wide open, to secluded, and lined with woods. The only thing is the maintenance can tend to get a little behind schedule. I have lost balls on the fairway before because the grass was too long...

A hidden gem.

This golf course does not get the play it deserves. Sevceral of the holes are real challenges, particularly holes 7, 11, 17 and 18. Although otherwise not too difficult the greens on No. 9 and 18 slant away from the front and depending on the hole location, can be quite difficult.

No eagles at Eagle Creek Golf Course

The only eagle I have seen at this course is the giant brass one out in the pond in front of the clubhouse. This course for the money is the nicest I have played in this area. They have great rates and great maintenance which in my opinion is the best formula for choosing a course. It has more challenges and character than most and it always enjoyable to play. However, do NOT walk this course. I would hate for you to get lost on the very scenic way.
