Great design beautiful course sitting on Lake Barkley and the course was in great shape for January. My Handicap is a 5 I shot 80 and the 4 fairways I missed cost me at least 5 shots.

This is a challenging, scenic golf course. My group loved the course and will return. My only negative is that I feel they need more water stations on the course. I do feel that they could speed up the average playing time by placing more readily findable yardage marks in addition to the white and red stakes. Great overal experience.

Great course! Stay in the fairways the rough is very unforgiving. The scenery is great. The design is fantastic. I really like this course.

Save your money. Course is in horrible shape right now.
Fun, scenic layout, but roughs and many of fairways are unplayable. Tees and greens very inconsistent. Hopefully they will put some money back into it and get it up to previous level.

You won't be disapointed with Mineral Mound. It'll kick you in the nuts, but you'll want to come back for another 18. You can't just swing away, you need to think about your club selection on every shot. I brought my golf team down to play last spring from Wisconsin. I have quite a few 3 - 5 handicappers on my team, the course ate them up! It's exactly what I wanted. This is a great course for anyone who wants to work on the mental aspect of their game and varying your club selection on each tee. We walked....that was rough. Take a cart for your own health! Great track!

Fantastic course...beautiful scenery, a lot of lakeside holes and elevation changes. Too many awesome holes to count. Tee boxes, fairways and fast smooth greens are all kept in great condition. Course management requires some thought, you must carefully place all of your shots. This place will test anyone, its very appealing to golfers of all skill levels though for the ambience alone. Very reasonable green fees.

This is a sweet course. Unfortunately the 20+ handicapper might not think so. When you miss the fairway you are usually walking downhill or uphill into the woods to find your ball, if you even bother. But if you can hit the ball straight, you will be rewarded and feel like you beat a real golf course. There is one par 5 on the front nine that may be the toughest par 5 I've ever played. Certainly the toughest one without water. The fairway is like an esker in the shape of an S. If your tee shot misses the fairway you may as well just drop one down and take a penalty because you might not even find the ball down the slopes and in the trees. If you're luck enough to hit the fairway, you've got about a 175-200 yard uphill layup shot to the top of the S, where the fairway is running away from you at an angle to the right. Go long - woods. Short, you leave it in the face of the slope on the right side of the fairway and in the woods. Right and left are dead as well. Double digits are not uncommon on this hole.

Lots of other cool doglegs on the course as well and the scenery is great. Plan for a long round and bring plenty of balls, but its worth it.

Awesome course

Me and a buddy took a trip through Kentucky and stopped and played Mineral Mounds only b/c we had heard from other golfers at another course how nice this course was. Boy were we glad we did!! Each hole is secluded from the next and TOUGH! Accurate tee shots are a must here. Several holes play over water and wildlife is abundant. We saw turtles, deer (whom didn't seem to mind us being there), and squirrels throughout. The greens roll fabulously and there are numerous well kept bunkers. A must play if your in the area.

Most Beautiful Course In West Kentucky!

WOW! When the clubhouse is finished, it will finalize what is becoming a KY Gem! Every hole is simply georgeous! A new stunning view around every corner. The course is a little tricky to get to as far as driving but, well worth the time once your are there. The greens are always in perfect shape and roll smooth and true. Accurate drives are a must if you are playing from the tips. Deer, Wild Turkey, Rabbits, Squirrels and other wildlife abound and are a welcomed distraction. The biggest surprise are the elevation changes from hole to hole. The price is right on target for a course of this caliber. A Must Play!

A must play!

This is an awsome course! No matter what your handicap, everyone will enjoy this course. Playing from the tips is the only way to hit long bombs without getting into trouble.
I rated the amenities and value a little low only because they are in a temporary building and waiting for the new clubhouse to be finished. But the rates might change with a new clubhouse.
Well worth every dollar!
