Beaver Valley Golf Course, Allen, KY

Good course to learn or practice as you learn the game. It's not a long course and sets between the river and railroad tracks, yes it's narrow. Greens are small and fairly maintained at times, you have water in play 6 holes of the 9 holes. Staff is volunteers , but usually very nice people. I think the rates are fair but remember it's narrow and if you are learning, take plenty of balls because you won't find very many of them out of the fairway. Located not far off of Route 23.

I played this course 25 years ago. You might say I cut my golf teeth on this course. As you can imagine, this course holds a lot of sentimental value for me. I left KY. and stayed away for 20 years. When I came back this course was the first one I played. It was wonderful to see that the little course hadn't changed one bit. Today I am taking my grandson there to introduce him to the game. Hopefully one day he will look back on this course with as fond a memories as his grandfather does.
