I have played many great courses and this one is in my top five for sure. There really are zero negatives. It is a very challenging but very fair golf course that is in perfect condition. If you play make sure you take just a little time (don't play slow) to get a good look at the driving area on each hole. Many holes look extremely tight from the tee box but if you look carefully I think you'll notice that most fairways are quite generous.

For example, the eleventh hole fairway looks about twenty yards wide from the member tee box but it is actually about sixty yards wide in the landing area. The greens are lush, fast and fair. When we played the rough was brutal as it was long, green and wet. The zoysia firways are perfect.

The staff is friendly and enthusiastic. Unlike many other great private courses the staff doesn't treat you like an intruder.

You will hit every club in your bag. No bad holes but a few great shorter holes that will yield birdies if you get it in the fairway. The par threes are challenging but not rediculous.

Don't let the last hole fool you because even a big drive will leave a difficult second shot if you want to go for the green. Make sure you take time to plan your lay up. I hit a good drive but had no chance to go for the green because a large tree protects the green. I layed up with a nine iron that was one foot into the rough. My shot to the green was only 80 yards but it was very hard.

If you have the chance to play this great it.

This is the best golf course around Wichita, except for Prairie Dunes in Hutchinson, 45 miles NW. If you closed your eyes the club house looks like Vail Colo. Service is excellent, course perfect. Brad Broadfoot
