18 hole par-3 course
The 18-hole "Shortee's" course at the Shortee's Golf facility in Indianapolis, Indiana features all the hallmarks of Indiana golf. Designed by Don Turchan, the Shortee's golf course opened in 2000. Don Turchan manages the course as the Owner.
I love this place -- a true pitch and putt. Always fun and good wedge/putter practice. Reasonably priced -- 18 holes, $14.Very well maintained. Longest hole is 89 yards. Each hole has a tee box and a mat. Mats typically play longer. #15 has 2 tee boxes, one that plays along water's edge. A pond in the center of each 9 means water is in play on 12 holes. No sandtraps, but there mounds strategically placed near greens. The grass on the mounds isn't always cut so the rough can be quite serious (which makes for good practice getting out) Bentgrass greens are spec, and they have enough undulation to test your putter.Flat terrain -- #10 has an elevated green and #11 has an elevated tee. Pay attention around #14 and #15 -- the driving range is between the 9's and occasionaly there's a severe slicer who proves those high nets aren't high enough to keep EVERYthing in. Putting green also available.
