The 9-hole "Egyptian" course at the Egyptian Country Club facility in Mounds, Illinois features 2,979 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 36. Egyptian golf course opened in 1927. Dino Bankson manages the course as the Leasee.
Although I scored well, this is a terrible course. What few cart paths they have are either inches deep in mud, broken up or overgrown. The greens look like something I grew up around in the hayfield. The tee boxes were not even mowed and when I teed my ball up at normal height, it was sitting in grass. On top of that, they've raised their prices $5 since the last time I played it. It's not worth the drive over.
