Any course that starts you off on a par 3 without a range nor a decent practice putting green is bush league. Goes par 3, then short par 5,then another par 3. Starter either needs to space the tee times further apart or have a ranger out there to keep groups moving. For morning weekend tee times, they should not allow groups out there unless it's a full foursome. There was a 3some in front and behind our four. This was a 5-1/2 hour round where we were all waiting for minutes at a time between shots. Beverage cart girl we only saw once. Too many par 3's and other par 4's where you shouldn't hit driver. Since we got a pre-book online discount, it was ok for $45--the greens and tee box were in good shape, but for the true golf enthusist, won't be going back. Also, the front 9 is more scenic then the back.

Not a big fan of this place. Staff was nice enough. Quirky layout, conditions not great. Course is marked horribly. And my biggest pet peeve on courses is taken to a new level here. People don't fix their ball marks!!! And with a course that has 6 par 3's, that is simply unacceptable. 5 par 5's were okay, but most of the Par 4's were odd and tricked up. Sorry to say, I won't be going back. Much better courses in the area to go. Also, no putting green open and no range, and impossible to walk due the crazy layout. Needs a redesign.

Nice course, tough from the tips. Biggest issue I had was customer service and maintenance. Quoted lower rate when made tee time and upon arrival was charged $12 more. Staff made no attempt to resolve. Bunkers not raked and course had been watered waay to much.

Better courses for the rate!

The course, with 18 holes is quite interesting. This is one course that allows players of every skill level to use every club in the bag. You'll find some LARGE putting surfaces all over the course. Having a laser or GPS rangefinder helps greatly on this track. Pretty good potential for losing balls here. It's especially tough on windy days. Conditioning is excellent 9 days out of 10.

Played this course for the first time today the 6th of Aug 08. Found the course to be quite pleasant but you would not like it if you had to walk it (very long in between holes). I also found that there were few yardage markers out on the course or they were very hard to find. I would suggest getting a cheat shhet if the Staff has one or making one out before you go to play the course as some of the holes are quite quirky in their yardage marked or not. The course plays well and can be an easy one to hit par on as I was 15 shots under my average and shot the best game to date for this year (unless i'm getting that much better). The rough is high and you can loose a few balls if you dont keep in on line and in the fairways. For the most part I had a lot of fun and will play the course again.

new 9-holes completes this course and makes it comparable to other courses in the area. Greens and fairways in great condition. Overall play is challenging but fun. One suggestion is to book weekend tee times in advance if you want to play before noon b/c they fill up fast!

If you have not played Tanna Farms since April of 2008. You are missing out! they have added 9 new holes to now be 18 holes and the finishing stretch will test any golfer with 2 par 5's over six hundred yards and a par 3 that play 215. Great burgers Too!

Talk about a ball-eater

Keep in mind I'm a golf newbie - this outing was only my fourth the first and third of which were 9-holes only). But my dad who's been playing for 2 years also had struggles.
Holes are well laid out and challenging, though half the course is embedded in a sub-division, which I'm not a big fan of. Multiple water hazzards, and also thick "prairie" hazzards on at least half the holes made for a seriously ball-eating outing.
I'm sure that as I develop better club control and become more consistent this would be a more rewarding course to play. The clubhouse was nice, carts were well maintained, fees were reasonable and staff was friendly. I was there more for the time to spend with dad, learning the game, than anything. Unfortunately, my skill level is not up to this course yet.
Lots of vertical action on the terrain. We played shortly after the course had been aerated and then watered to marsh-like conditions...but I think that had more to do with an unexpected warm-up catching the club off guard with a sudden influx of players shortly after major maintenance.
I look forwrad to trying this course again when I know what the heck I'm doing.
