The reason I’m giving this course 2 stars is because I thought the course was very well maintained and challenging. The reason for the low rating was I played with my son in-law and daughter, the two of us are decent golfers and my daughter just starting out but not bad. We had a ranger follow us for the first (9) holes and stayed with us, on the 2nd hole he made a determination we were slow, yes the 2nd hole and made us let the foursome behind us play through which we waited 20 minutes for them to show up(unbelievable) then after two more holes makes us wait for another foursome to play through(unbelievable). In all my years of playing golf have Never seen anything like this. On the back nine we had a grounds keeper follow us for 5 holes with a blower blowing the cut grass of the fairway. What a day, won’t ever forget it!!! Note: both foursomes came up to us and apologized and said it wasn’t their idea!!
What a joke!Course is on nice land and the layout is great. but the greens are absolutely trashed! Pace of play was 5 hours w no marshals on the course. There are many nicer courses in the general area.Eg,CantignySeven bridgesBlackstoneOrchard valleyPrairie landing
Another Top 10 for Chicago. I love this course. I have gone out several times in the early weekend mornings for 36 and can't wait to do it again.
Played June 1, 2011 late twilight for $39, which included cart. Great value! Also, the course drains very well as the area had several inches of rain just a few days before, yet there were no flooded or wet areas and the greens were firm and fast. I will be returning on a regular basis.
